STICKTIPS VID BUBBEL HALSLINNING

KNITTING TIPS FOR FOLDED COLLAR

I use this technique mainly when I want a neckline to hold its shape and not stretch out. It's particularly good for superwashed yarns that tend to stretch a lot.

When I knit a folded collar, I don't knit it together but finish it last.

If I have made stranded colorwork, I use the yarn I think fits best in color, even if it comes on the inside, and crochet the neckline together. Most often I use double yarn and crochet relatively loosely, feel free to often try to ensure that there is not too little space, you do not want to ruin the hairstyle.

It forms a beautiful pattern on the inside of the collar that I am happy to see every time I put on the jumper. Extra detail to know quickly back and front is to let a braid form a loop before you finish weawing in the yarn ends.

Here I have knitted with Hardwear sock yarn as a main color and Mrs. Valborg's hand-dyed yarns (the shop is closed) as a contrast color, both yarns are held together with a strand of mohair yarn.
